Post by Monkeywrangler22 on May 2nd, 2012, 5:28pm

Help!  I need to be able to buy the best tamales in Collin Co, for dinner tomorrow!  I don't know how to make my own, so that is out.  So, who's got the best ones?

Hi Lrod, no I did not make it over to ft worth for tamales. Too far a drive from McKinney. [smiley=undecided.gif]

Central Market on Coit and Bush Tollway in Plano have very good fresh made Tamales. There over where you can get the fresh pizzas and tacos. Highly recommend the Chicken Tomatillo.

I know it's a little late for this thread, but El Grande Burrito in Allen makes the best Tamales I've ever eaten, and I have eaten a lot of tamales in my time.  You do need to phone ahead for them though.  Their other stuff is very good too.  This place is easy to miss but delicious!

John, thanks for the tip!  Allen is a short drive from home for us, so we will probably check out El Grande.
